Wedding Photography Style
We are taking a storytelling approach, sometimes referred to as a documentary approach, photographing big and small moments that are going to happen during your wedding day. The reality is much more interesting than anything else. So down the road, 10-15 years from now, when you sit down and flip through your wedding album, you will remember the moments of your day and how you felt about them.
We believe to tell the full story, we have to be with you on the day of the wedding, from the beginning of the day all the way until the dance floor is full of dancing and laughter.
We photograph getting ready moments, first look (if you decide to have one), the marriage ceremony, family portraits, couple’s portraits, reception details and traditional moments like cake cutting, the bouquet and garter toss, your dance floor party and we also create beautiful night time portraits.
We’ll document every emotional, funny, and unique moment of your day.
We photographed weddings in many Calgary wedding venues.
We are equipped to photograph your wedding day celebration with different lighting conditions, indoors or outdoors. We’ve photographed all types of wedding venues and locations, from midday sun lawn ceremonies to church halls with dim light. We will be ready for your wedding venue conditions.
We’ve documented happy couple stories in Calgary-area wedding venues like Calgary First Church of the Nazarene, Blue Devil Golf Course, Calgary Zoo, Delta Hotels by Marriott Calgary Downtown, Fairmont Palliser, First Baptist Church, Le Germain Hotel, Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, St. Stephen's Anglican Church, and Apple Creek Golf Course.
We also had an opportunity to photograph wedding day celebrations in different places around Alberta, like Gaetz Memorial United Church, River Bend Golf Club, Cambridge Red Deer Hotel & Conference Centre (aka Sheraton Red Deer Hotel), Pine and Pond Wedding Venue near Panoka and Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in British Columbia.
We’re also known as engagement photographers. We love to photograph engagement sessions, they are a fun and easy way to get to know you better and see how we work.
The engagement session will also help you to get relaxed in front of our cameras. As a result, the final photos will be authentic and they will show who you are and your personality.
It’s also a great way to get your photos done in some unique locations that are completely different from your wedding day venue.
There are so many great locations in the city. While photographing engagement sessions and wedding portraits we fell in love with Alberta Ballet - Creative Offices building, Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, Bowmont Park, Central Library, Central Memorial Park, Centre St. Bridge, Confederation Park, Courthouse Park, Crescent Heights, Eau Claire Park, Edworthy Park, Fish Creek Provincial Park, Fort Calgary, Garrison Square Park, George C. King Bridge (aka St. Patrick's Bridge), Griffith Woods Park, Inglewood (including Inglewood Wildlands), Lindsay Park, McDougall Centre, North Glenmore Park, Nose Hill Park, Olympic Plaza, Oolong Tea House, Pearce Estate Park, Poppy Plaza, Prince's Island Park, Riverwalk, Rotary Park Off Leash Dog Park (including Mt Pleasant View Point), Sandy Beach Park, South Glenmore Park, Southview Off Leash Area (located near Dover community), Stanley Park, downtown Calgary with Stephen Avenue Southwest (and nearby C-Train station), Sunnyside Bank Park (including Crescent Heights Lookout Point), and Tom Campbell's Hill Natural Park to name the few.
We also explored some places outside of the city. If you like parks and mountains we can take a road trip to Banff National Park of Canada and check out stunning views of Cascade Ponds, Fenland Trailhead, Johnson Lake, Lake Louise, Lake Minnewanka, Lac des Arcs, Two Jack Lake, Vermilion Lakes and Town of Banff.
There are so many options and we are ready to explore even more with you together.
Check out a selection of engagement photos in those locations or in our engagement photos portfolio and let’s get your session planned.
