We here at The 38 Photography have a lot to be thankful for. We wanted to reach out and say 'thanks' to you for supporting us as we grow and expand our wedding photography business into the next year.
We have Samantha and Jason's wedding day blog story published. Check out gorgeous pictures from their big day we've been honoured to capture in some beautiful locations in Red Deer.
Today on the blog we have one of our favorite weddings in the Rocky Mountains we were so excited to photograph this winter. We met Michelle and Dustin during one of the bridal shows and talked a lot about their upcoming wedding day. Guys loved our photography style and our personality and we booked them for their stylish wedding in the Town of Banff.
One of the great locations we had scouted for our engaged couples this winter was Cascade Ponds in Banff National Park.
A mix of two beautiful locations - Eau Claire Park and McDougall Centre building, made this engagement session of Aja and Anthony so unique.
That was absolutely gorgeous summer wedding at Sylvan Lake, Alberta. We had such fun photographing love story of Ashten and Sheldon. We have asked them some questions about themselves and here's what gave us. Enjoy pictures and their story!
We met Courtney and Jordy at our booth at the Red Deer bridal show - With This Ring Bridal Gala a couple of years ago. They looked though our studio products, our wedding packages, asked several questions about our studio and without hesitation joined our happy clients family by signing their contract right at the show. Since then we already photographed their engagement session in Calgary at the Inglewood Wildlands and did their wedding this fall. So, today we are going to unfold a day in their life for you - to be more specific: their wedding day.
We love this location in Calgary - Rotary Park, and photographed many couples there during last summer season. Check out beautiful pictures of Jill and Riley from their engagement session in the park.
We have great news for all our brides and grooms.
It's the moment you've been waiting for! A chance to win your way in to Bridal Fantasy’s upcoming bridal trade show in Edmonton, AB
When we are looking back to 2016, we can say that this year was challenging, stressful, a bit rocky but still super fun.
We have done many engagement sessions and weddings during this year but this time we are going to write about a recent family session that we did in the northern part of Alberta.
We're always up to a challenge and love to experiment with new locations during our photo sessions. So when Danielle and Nathan approached us with the idea to have engagement session done in their favourite tattoo salon here in Calgary - Strange World Tattoo, we were game on.
Year in review… not quite...
This is the day when everyone is writing their holidays wishes and reviewing their past year. We will do that for sure when time comes, and we think the right time for that is at the new year eve :)
We love to photograph our couples in the Banff National Park. This time we chose to photograph this lovely couple engagement session at Two Jack Lake, with its spectacular views of surrounding Rocky mountains.
We have bridal session in all our wedding packages and encourage our brides to use them as additional session when they can wear their beautiful wedding dress and create art they've always dreamed of.

One of our favorite engagement sessions we shot this summer. We loved the beauty of endless fields and forests, we were so lucky to have the north of Alberta's nature as setting for our couple.
We are so excited to be photographing their wedding this upcoming winter!

This year we were extremely lucky to catch some hot September days in the Rocky Mountains, photographing this cute couple at the Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park. A great session - we laughed a lot, took great pictures and were even chased by some rafters across the lake :)
Throwback Saturday this time with a lovely engagement session we did last October in Edworthy Park in Calgary.
We're always looking for different places for our engagement sessions and we wanted to feature Prince's Island Park, but its a less photographed part. We decided that for Carmen and Taylor the west side of the park was perfect - there we found an old arch that brought architecture and history to this romantic photo session in vibrant Calgary downtown. We love you guys and can't wait to photograph your wedding!
A session we did last year in late September in the dreamiest location ever!
