Portrait of the Engaged Couple at the Acreage

We like to break the ice and start our engagement sessions with some walking photos. It's a perfect way to break into the session, get relaxed in front of the lenses and get used to being a center of attention for the next hour or so.

Usually, we use a long lens at that time. Something closer to 100-200mm will give us that distance to the couple, so they can feel comfortable and just be themselves. This lens choice also is perfect to compress surroundings and blur some elements of the background.

We had a lot of fun and photographed many great moments. Check out more photos from this mini engagement session in our Stories section - West Calgary Mini Session.
